Introduction

Providing new services to meet the changing community needs has become a regular management function in most NGOs so that they can serve the community better. In the process of providing a new service, planning is considered crucial as it is an essential management step to determine the direction, the scope as well as the action.

To provide participants with practical concepts of planning and preparation in relation to providing new services

• Writing an effective service proposal
• Essentials dos and don’ts in presenting proposals
• Preparations and follow up actions after submitting proposals

Susan obtained two master’s degrees in Social Work and History respectively. She has been being a social worker for more than 30 years and was awarded as an outstanding social worker. She is now serving for several management committees and course consultancy of various institutions and organizations, and be glad to share her professional experience and expertise. Facing social changes in recent years, Ms Chan has leading to enhance the influence of organisation, while encourage coworkers to respond social needs in an “innovative and flexible” ways, as well as actively work with different sectors to narrow social gaps in existing systems. She attaches importance to the staff training and development, also integrating theories and practical experiences into publication in order to promote sharing culture and contribute to social sector.
