Avoid Racial Discrimination in NGO governance and providing services
Introduction
Newly promoted supervisors of NGO face new challenges while dealing with role transitions, for example, building and leading a high-performance team, effective decision making in dynamic environment and etc. During managing team and providing service to service users, supervisors should also pay attention to Anti-Discrimination Ordinances.
Population of ethnic minorities in Hong Kong is gradually increasing. NGO will encounter ethnic minorities applicants while recruiting new talents or service users while providing services. We have invited Equal Opportunities Commission to hold the seminar on Racial Discrimination Ordinance in order to enhance understanding of main concepts of the Ordinance, blend the good practice of anti-discrimination into daily working environment and services of NGO and build ethnic minorities-friendly working environment and social service.
