Objective
To enable non-financial managers and professionals of social service to learn the output costing methodology for strengthening their capability to:
1. Understand cost structure of services
2. Cost service activities and outputs
3. Analyse cost for service improvement and decision making, such as
• Redesigning services to enhance cost effectiveness, quality and efficiency• Changing service mix or delivery mode• Formulating service and pricing strategy

• Understanding basic accounting principles
• Preparing

• Introducing

A Chartered Management Accountant and previously, director of the consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, John is experienced in strategic, organisation, financial and HR management. He has developed various management models for social service and assisted many NGOs to implement them, including output costing for around 20 agencies. He has provided consulting and training services to over 40 NGOs.
