CEOs Meet CEOs Luncheon Series - Meeting with Prof. Daniel Shek
Introduction
The Executive Committee of Heep Hong Society has received the privileged Directors of The Year Award 2006 from The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, under the category of Non-profit-distributing Organizations Boards. The Committee consists of many devoted members who are leaders in their respective professional fields dedicated to the betterment of children’s health especially in the growing needs for autism care. This is surely representing outstanding NGO stewardship in our sector.
During the Award presentation, the Hong Kong Institute of Directors had made great commendation to the Executive Committee of Heep Hong Society. According to the Institute, it "adheres strictly to the guidelines set out in its Corporate Governance Manual. Under its leadership, the Society has adopted innovative methods for enhancing developments both within the Society and extending service to meet the changing needs of the community. Committed to best practices of corporate governance, the Society has been operating with high degree of transparency and integrity and is commended as a model for many other non-profit-distributing organizations.”
We are honored to have consent from Professor Daniel Shek, former Chairman for the Year 2005-06, and Ms. Nancy Tsang, Director of Heep Hong Society to share their experience in NGO stewardship. In particular, they will share the Executive Committee provides guidance, insights and supports for the management in making great strides in Heep Hong’s services in times of challenges and uncertainties. Board members and agency heads of HKCSS’ Agency Members are cordially invited to the Luncheon.
