Objective

Effective Human Resources Management is one of the critical success factors in corporate management and governance of NGOs. Its function has been extended to a horizon that people management is a "must” for every staff member holding a supervisory/managerial position. HKCSS Institute has organized the Certificate in HRM to facilitate supervisory and managerial staff to:

Dr. Au Wing Tung 區永東教授
Associate Professor, Department of Psychology
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
He obtained his PhD in Psychology at University of Illinois. Since then, he has been teaching both undergraduate and master level courses in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Social Psychology for the past 10 years. His research interests include the application of psychology to workplace behaviors, cooperation and competition. He has also been providing consultancy services to both public and private organizations in the areas of recruitment selection assessment, equal opportunities, staff motivation and customer satisfaction.
Dr. Ho , Florence 何巧清博士
Assistant Programme Director, Senior Lecturer
School of Professional Education & Executive Development (SPEED), Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Dr Ho has extensive experience as a human resource management practitioner. Prior to joining SPEED, she worked in both public and private sectors. Florence also worked with the Social Welfare Department as a social worker, and in addition she has also served in various NGOs as a volunteer.

Certificates
1. "Certificate in Human Resource Management for NGOs” will be issued by the HKCSS Institute to participants who enrolled for the full certificate course, including sessions 1 to 5, and with attendance at least 24 hours out of 30 hours.
2. Attendance Certificates will be issued to participants upon completion of each individual whole session.


Course Structure
For certificate course, compulsory sessions are 1a, 3, 4 & 5. For selective sessions, please choose either 1b or 1c & 2a or 2b or 2c. Please choose your desired selective sessions at the time submitting your application form.
