Conflict Dynamics and Negotiation Strategies

Introduction

Conflict is an inherent and inevitable part in any working relationship. In the context of NGOs, where collaborative efforts among colleagues and teams are crucial for delivering impactful social services, effective conflict management becomes essential for fostering collaboration and driving organizational success. However, conflict often escalate as a result of poor communication, unclear roles and authority, and emotional barriers, all of which hinder effective teamwork and mission-driven progress. When approached professionally and constructively, conflict can act as a powerful catalyst for strengthening relationships and enhancing communication among individuals.

In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of effective communication techniques and negotiation frameworks. They will also develop essential emotional intelligence competencies that are vital for navigating challenging situations. Through case studies, interactive activities and hands-on applications, participants will acquire practical conflict management and negotiation skills to strengthen stakeholder relationships and advance the mission of their NGOs.
