Stakeholder Alchemy: Engagement, Trust, Relationship, and Buy in
Introduction
Against a resource constrained and fast changing social service landscape, NGOs must collaborate internally and externally to deliver quality services and pursue organisational growth. For many NGO managers and supervisors, effective stakeholder engagement is critical to fostering meaningful relationships, aligning diverse parties toward shared objectives, and unlocking sustainable social impact.
This workshop addresses common real world challenges, such as securing backing from funders, government bodies, partners and internal teams; building trust without formal authority; and delivering persuasive communications that support the organisation’s mission and long-term impact. Through case studies and interactive role-play exercises, participants will learn practical frameworks, communication techniques, and mission-driven storytelling skills to identify key stakeholders, develop engagement strategies, craft compelling messages, handle resistance diplomatically, and act as credible organisational ambassadors to drive project success and long term collaboration.
