Session 2 - Path to transformation: Insights from Change-Makers and Entrepreneurs】

Fostering experience sharing in entrepreneurship, including stories of success and overcoming challenges in bringing about changes and adapting to changes, participants can learn from the experience of others, gain valuable insights, and find inspiration to navigate their own journeys.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex
Florence began her entrepreneurial journey in 2009. She took over the bakery training bay of the rehabilitation complex under Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and turned it into a bakery social enterprise achieving both business and social missions. She founded iBakery, a bakery and catering business employing people with disabilities, in 2010. Having further revamped the food production social enterprise of Tung Wah Group in 2019, she is currently looking after two major businesses, iBakery and CookEasy, which consist of a total of 11 outlets and a team of 150 employees with different abilities. Apart from creating employment for people with disabilities, Florence also built a strong network of corporate partnership and volunteers supporting the development of social enterprise, and took part in community education by promoting social enterprise and social inclusion to local and overseas visitors. 

Prior to venturing into social business, she had worked for several NGOs. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Science Degree with major in social work from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and graduated from INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program.

Florence was awarded “Women of Power 2022” by the Prestige Hong Kong.

 
Ms. KONG Ka-wai, Judy 江嘉惠女士
Chief Executive
InspiringHK Sports Foundation

Ms. Judy Kong is one of the founding board members of the InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a non-subvented social welfare organisation founded in 2012. With the vision of "Empower Youths Through Sports", it provides social services to youth and their families through innovative sports intervention methods. Judy was appointed by the board of directors to be the organization’s first full-time Chief Executive since September 2017.

Judy has worked for various charity organisations in the Mainland China and Hong Kong. She served as the Development Officer of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and then moved to Shanghai Children's Hospital as a Medical Social Work Intern. After leaving Shanghai, Judy returned to Hong Kong to serve as the Project Manager of the Asia-Pacific charity fund and community affairs of a multinational corporation, providing internal charity funding advice to the company and distributing funds to local and mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia branches; as well as coordinating community services for the corporation.

Judy has also been appointed by the Hong Kong government to serve on various committees, including the Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee, Administrative Appeals Board, Appeal Panel (Housing), Registration of Persons Tribunal, and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Campaign Working Group with the appointment from the Equal Opportunities Committee.

Judy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Global Business Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008 and completed a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong in 2011. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, UK since 2017.
