Introduction

Being entrepreneurial provides you with a new perspective in identifying cracks and gaps and taking steps to make a change. It enables you to identify new opportunities to serve social missions under limited resources; to constantly innovate and stay relevant in the evolving sector; and to have the growth mindset to navigate through changes with your team.   

This entrepreneurial learning journey offers interactive workshops, case studies, and exchanges with experienced entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to build the skills and confidence needed to drive positive changes. Join us and take your first step towards being "entrepreneurial"!

Dr. Chan founded Decisive Consulting Limited, a management consulting firm, and co-founded Dark Horse Investment, an angel investment company. A former consultant with McKinsey & Company, the former co-CEO of A-connect (China), and China General Manager of englishtown.com, an EF Group company. A serial entrepreneur in technology startups in Digital Signal Processing application, integrated communication, mobile / e-commerce solutions and e-learning.

Dr. Chan is a frequent speaker at conferences and business seminars, a corporate trainer and executive coach, recipient of the Queen's Gold Medal for mathematics presented by Queen Elizabeth II. Dr. Chan studied engineering at the University of Cambridge, awarded BA, MA and PhD. Author of “My Cambridge Days” and “Dream Journey For Two”. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and speaks basic French and Japanese.

InspiringHK Sports Foundation

Ms. Judy Kong is one of the founding board members of the InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a non-subvented social welfare organisation founded in 2012. With the vision of "Empower Youths Through Sports", it provides social services to youth and their families through innovative sports intervention methods. Judy was appointed by the board of directors to be the organization’s first full-time Chief Executive since September 2017.

Judy has worked for various charity organisations in the Mainland China and Hong Kong. She served as the Development Officer of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and then moved to Shanghai Children's Hospital as a Medical Social Work Intern. After leaving Shanghai, Judy returned to Hong Kong to serve as the Project Manager of the Asia-Pacific charity fund and community affairs of a multinational corporation, providing internal charity funding advice to the company and distributing funds to local and mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia branches; as well as coordinating community services for the corporation.

Judy has also been appointed by the Hong Kong government to serve on various committees, including the Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee, Administrative Appeals Board, Appeal Panel (Housing), Registration of Persons Tribunal, and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Campaign Working Group with the appointment from the Equal Opportunities Committee.

Judy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Global Business Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008 and completed a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong in 2011. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, UK since 2017.


Ms. CHAN Florence 陳佩珊女士

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex
Florence began her entrepreneurial journey in 2009. She took over the bakery training bay of the rehabilitation complex under Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and turned it into a bakery social enterprise achieving both business and social missions. She founded iBakery, a bakery and catering business employing people with disabilities, in 2010. Having further revamped the food production social enterprise of Tung Wah Group in 2019, she is currently looking after two major businesses, iBakery and CookEasy, which consist of a total of 11 outlets and a team of 150 employees with different abilities. Apart from creating employment for people with disabilities, Florence also built a strong network of corporate partnership and volunteers supporting the development of social enterprise, and took part in community education by promoting social enterprise and social inclusion to local and overseas visitors. 

Prior to venturing into social business, she had worked for several NGOs. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Science Degree with major in social work from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and graduated from INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program.

Florence was awarded “Women of Power 2022” by the Prestige Hong Kong.

Dr. Joey Wan is the Management Training Consultant at ECOACH Consulting, the former Chief Drucker Educator at Peter F, Drucker Academy. He is the Adjunct Lecturer at HKU Space, who provides professional trainings and teachings to the senior executives of multi-national corporates, non-profit organisations, and government in the past 12 years. With the focus of his research area of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, Joey is passionate in sharing his unique insights on talent management in the entrepreneurial perspective. Besides, he has served Prince of Peace Group as the General Manager (Asia Pacific) to overview branch offices’ operations in Asia Pacific, after working in USA head office for years. He received his Bachelor of Science (International Business), Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University, and Doctor of Business Administration from Hong Kong Baptist University.

With extensive experience in commercial and non-profit sectors, Marco has been working in the fields of corporate communications, digital marketing, business development, fundraising and digital project management. He is passionate about driving digital innovation for social good and creating user-centric experiences that make a meaningful impact.

Marco integrates digital innovation with human-centred design practices. His role, as a part-time lecturer and a volunteer providing design thinking coaching to NGO and different sectors, showcases his commitment to empowering others in the field.

He holds a Master of Science in E-commerce & Internet Computing and completed a digital transformation executive programme at The University of Chicago (Scholarship Awardee), which underpins his vision to ignite a proactive approach to social innovation and to drive positive change in society.

Marco is currently responsible for the Agency’s corporate communications, partnership & digital transformation; he also serves as a member of the Agency’s Steering Committee and leads a working group to orchestra digital transformation projects, with the aspiration to innovate a better service experience via user-centric digital solutions. 
Ms. CHAN Natalie 陳琦女士

With 20 years of professional experience in sustainability, Natalie was first an intrapreneur founding and leading the corporate sustainability practices at multinational corporations headquartered in Asia, including Swire Pacific and Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels groups. In 2018, she founded PIE Strategy, leveraging her deep knowledge of driving sustainable and purposeful transformation at corporations to benefit PIE and its clients. 

Natalie serves as a Director on the Board of Natixis Foundation, the philanthropic arm of French corporate and investment bank Natixis, B Lab (Hong Kong & Macau) and the Hong Kong Institute of Social Impact Analysts. Natalie also participates in various advisory boards and committees related to sustainability and social impact, including the Energy Advisory Committee of the HKSAR Government, the CoCreation Strategy Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, and public policy think tanks such as Our Hong Kong Foundation and Civic Exchange.  

Natalie holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD, France and Tsinghua University, China. She has completed The Prince of Wales's Business and Sustainability Programme at the University of Cambridge, UK, and a master's degree programme in Corporate Environmental Governance at the University of Hong Kong. Additionally, Natalie is an Accredited Trainer for the SDG Impact Standards by the United Nations Development Programme and a Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) professional certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Laura is a Dutch-Chinese entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, communications trainer, and an award-winning master of ceremony who has hosted high profile international events. She has over 20 years of regional communication and public relations experience. Prior to establishing her communication consultancy in 2006, Laura was previously with media company STAR TV in a regional role. In her time working in Southeast Asia and Greater China, Laura has developed an acute interest in the application of positive communication across culture and believes communication is something you learn, not something you are born with. Specialised in executive presence, collaborative communication, media/public speaking skills and key message formulation, Laura’s unique ability to deliver a training programme that combines mindset reframing, technical skills enhancement with business objectives has contributed to the success of many campaigns and executive development programmes. To date, over 7,000 people in Asia have benefited from engaging her consultancy and services. Laura holds an Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD, she is trained in Appreciative Inquiry, Action Learning and Diversity Equity & Inclusion from Cambridge Judge Business School. Her solid mastery of English, Putonghua and Cantonese gives her delivery a distinctive multicultural perspective. She loves books, coffee and her golden retriever girl.
Ms. LEE Anthea 李淑慧女士

Ms. Anthea Lee earned a Bachelor degree in Social Work form HKBU as well as two Master degrees in Aging & Health and Criminology from HKU respectively. She completed the EMBA from HKUST on a scholarship granted by the Business School and also had joined “Leadership In Action Programme” of the Civil Service Training Institute which was designed for the senior staff members of civil services and NGOs.  

Currently, Ms. Lee is the Chief Executive of SideBySide. SideBySide began in 1957 by offering released prisoners guidance, kindness and paths back to acceptance. Today SideBySide’s services cover social rehabilitation, mental wellness, competency development, community education, cultural inclusion, and community connection. Celebrating the 65th anniversary, a rebranding project was launched adhering to the service wisdom and achievements of the past years. A new logo and a new English brand name “SideBySide” were established, at the same time our Chinese name was simplified as "善導會". The new brand appearance symbolised that innovative methods were adopted to actualise our vision of "creating an inclusive, safe and healthy society where people feel they belong" to respond to the social needs of the new era. 

Ms. Lee has served the community and actively participated in public affairs by contributing her expertise in various committees. She was awarded the “Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service” in 2023. Ms. Lee currently serves as a member of the Social Welfare Advisory Committee, a member of the Advisory 

Committee of Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged of the Social Welfare Department, a member of the Action Committee Against Narcotics, a member of the Community Care Fund Task Force, a member of the Betting and Lotteries Commission of Home Affairs, a Director of the Hong Kong Social Service Professional Alliance of The Guangdong-HK-Macau Greater Bay Area Limited, a Committee Member of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee on Sector Development & Finance of HKCSS, the Vice President of the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, a Council Member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises Limited, Deputy Chief Supervisor of the Supervision Board of Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association and a committee member of Institute of Social Service Development.

She has completed The Prince of Wales's Business and Sustainability Programme at the University of Cambridge, UK, and a master's degree programme in Corporate Environmental Governance at the University of Hong Kong. Additionally, Natalie is an Accredited Trainer for the SDG Impact Standards by the United Nations Development Programme and a Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) professional certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Laura is a Dutch-Chinese entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, communications trainer, and an award-winning master of ceremony who has hosted high profile international events. She has over 20 years of regional communication and public relations experience. Prior to establishing her communication consultancy in 2006, Laura was previously with media company STAR TV in a regional role. In her time working in Southeast Asia and Greater China, Laura has developed an acute interest in the application of positive communication across culture and believes communication is something you learn, not something you are born with. Specialised in executive presence, collaborative communication, media/public speaking skills and key message formulation, Laura’s unique ability to deliver a training programme that combines mindset reframing, technical skills enhancement with business objectives has contributed to the success of many campaigns and executive development programmes. To date, over 7,000 people in Asia have benefited from engaging her consultancy and services. Laura holds an Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD, she is trained in Appreciative Inquiry, Action Learning and Diversity Equity & Inclusion from Cambridge Judge Business School. Ms. Anthea Lee earned a Bachelor degree in Social Work form HKBU as well as two Master degrees in Aging & Health and Criminology from HKU respectively. She completed the EMBA from HKUST on a scholarship granted by the Business School and also had joined “Leadership In Action Programme” of the Civil Service Training Institute which was designed for the senior staff members of civil services and NGOs.  

Currently, Ms. Lee is the Chief Executive of SideBySide. SideBySide began in 1957 by offering released prisoners guidance, kindness and paths back to acceptance. Today SideBySide’s services cover social rehabilitation, mental wellness, competency development, community education, cultural inclusion, and community connection. Celebrating the 65th anniversary, a rebranding project was launched adhering to the service wisdom and achievements of the past years. A new logo and a new English brand name “SideBySide” were established, at the same time our Chinese name was simplified as "善導會". The new brand appearance symbolised that innovative methods were adopted to actualise our vision of "creating an inclusive, safe and healthy society where people feel they belong" to respond to the social needs of the new era. 

Ms. Lee has served the community and actively participated in public affairs by contributing her expertise in various committees. She was awarded the “Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service” in 2023. Ms. Lee currently serves as a member of the Social Welfare Advisory Committee, a member of the Advisory 

Committee of Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged of the Social Welfare Department, a member of the Action Committee Against Narcotics, a member of the Community Care Fund Task Force, a member of the Betting and Lotteries Commission of Home Affairs, a Director of the Hong Kong Social Service Professional Alliance of The Guangdong-HK-Macau Greater Bay Area Limited, a Committee Member of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee on Sector Development & Finance of HKCSS, the Vice President of the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, a Council Member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises Limited, Deputy Chief Supervisor of the Supervision Board of Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association and a committee member of Institute of Social Service Development.
