【Session 4 - Surpassing Innovative Barriers: Design Thinking Perspective for Problem Solving】
This workshop will introduce a new perspective to the widely adopted entrepreneurial method - Design Thinking, as a vehicle to resolve problems, uncover innovative opportunities, improve risk management, and drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration. With real-world case analysis and sharing of applications in NGOs, you will not only be equipped with actionable tools but you will also gain insights from the practical experience of smart adoption of the Design Thinking principle and tools in innovating and driving changes in team and organization.

Dr. WAN Joey 尹祖伊博士

Dr. Joey Wan is the Management Training Consultant at ECOACH Consulting, the former Chief Drucker Educator at Peter F, Drucker Academy. He is the Adjunct Lecturer at HKU Space, who provides professional trainings and teachings to the senior executives of multi-national corporates, non-profit organisations, and government in the past 12 years. With the focus of his research area of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, Joey is passionate in sharing his unique insights on talent management in the entrepreneurial perspective. Besides, he has served Prince of Peace Group as the General Manager (Asia Pacific) to overview branch offices’ operations in Asia Pacific, after working in USA head office for years. He received his Bachelor of Science (International Business), Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University, and Doctor of Business Administration from Hong Kong Baptist University.

With extensive experience in commercial and non-profit sectors, Marco has been working in the fields of corporate communications, digital marketing, business development, fundraising and digital project management. He is passionate about driving digital innovation for social good and creating user-centric experiences that make a meaningful impact.
Marco integrates digital innovation with human-centred design practices. His role, as a part-time lecturer and a volunteer providing design thinking coaching to NGO and different sectors, showcases his commitment to empowering others in the field. He holds a Master of Science in E-commerce & Internet Computing and completed a digital transformation executive programme at The University of Chicago (Scholarship Awardee), which underpins his vision to ignite a proactive approach to social innovation and to drive positive change in society. Marco is currently responsible for the Agency’s corporate communications, partnership & digital transformation; he also serves as a member of the Agency’s Steering Committee and leads a working group to orchestra digital transformation projects, with the aspiration to innovate a better service experience via user-centric digital solutions. |
