In recent years, many NGOs have operated their services in project basis or self-finance model. After the initial start up stage, projects will then be integrated into their daily operations. having a good start up will lead to higher rate of success of new services. As such, two project management workshops are offered to suit the different needs of NGO practitioners.

 

The Certificate in Project Management for NGOs is designed for NGO practitioners who need to oversee sizeable projects, such as constructing a new service building, managing IT projects etc, with annual project sum at $300,000 or above, or aiming to pursuit internationally recognized PMP examination qualification. If you need to manage small to medium size projects or execute the plans, such as fundraising dinner, community service projects, etc, you can consider the 2-day Effective Project Management Skills for NGOs.

目標

Through The certificate programme, aims to give participants clear framework and processes of project management (PM) and to let them have full understanding on nine knowledge areas.

Upon Completion of the programme, participants will:

  • Get a good overview of PM framework and basic concepts
  • Get a good understanding of PM methods and fundamental PM skills, concepts and techniques
  • Learn real life examples of practical experience in proven PM techniques
  • Practice learned skills in-class exercises
  • Be able to take the PMP examination. If participants are interested to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) examination, please visit www.pmi.org

Certificates

PMIHK and HKCSS Institute will issue completion certificate separately to each participant meeting the PMP examination criterion of 35 contact hours of PM education.

Mr Wong has over 25 years of executive experience with leading edge corporations. He has held senior positions such as Managing Director, General Manager, and Principal Consultant of leading edge technology, and System Integration firms in Canada, Hong Kong and China. In addition to IT consulting, PM training services, and teaching at various universities, Raymond has engaged as a PM advisor of Christian Communications Ltd. Since 2004 mentoring CCL key staffs in managing significant projects or programs. Being a seasoned executive and project director with expertise in IT and Technology, Raymond understood the significance of professional project management and its importance to an organization. Raymond is very passionate about the professionalism in project management. He was one of the founders of the PMI, Hong Kong Chapter in 1997 and has been serving as an Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Chapter since then.
