簡介

In order to be sustainable, social service organizations need to find and diversify the funding source. This course helps social work practitioners to identify different ways of fundraising to enhance their organisations’ fundraising capability. It is designed for social work practitioners who would like to equip and advance their practical skills on fundraising.

目標

1. To introduce the fundraising planning cycle and it’s applications at agency level
2. To describe the concept and application on donor relations management and it’s relation to fund raising sustainability
3. To introduce typical fundraising tools with NGO examples

內容

A) Making use of Media in Fundraising
-Views of the media in selecting their fundraising campaign or charities partners
-How to identify suitable media for a fundraising initiative to build impact
-Pre-requisites and precautions in working with media in Fundraising
B) Soliciting Corporate Sponsorship through Fundraising Programme
-How to solicit corporate sponsorship?
-Ways and means to attract corporate sponsorship
-Case Illustration: Developing creative ideas in fundraising
-Sharing from the corporate point of views: how to select the sponsor(s) and partner(s)?

主講嘉賓	:	Ms. Lai , Deon 黎燕儀女士 Manager - Corporate Management Urban Renewal Fund Limited With ten years of solid experiences in resource development and marketing, Ms Lai raised a record breaking HK$17.5 million for the 16 beneficiaries for Operation Santa Claus 2011. She also initiated to develop the South China Morning Post Heart of HK Relief Fund to mobilize readers to raise fund for local charities. She holds a Master Degree in Development Studies in University of East Anglia. Deon currently serves at Urban Renewal Fund Limited to oversee board relations, corporate communication, media relations and corporate management of the Secretariat. Ms. Tsang , Florence 曾淑英女士 Head, Resource Development S.K.H. St. Christopher’s Home Ms Tsang holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from Monash University, Australia. She has more than 13 years of experience in brand building, fundraising, corporate partnership and donor cultivation in non-profit making organizations, including Haven of Hope Christian Service and World Vision Hong Kong. Florence currently serves at S.K.H. St. Christopher’s Home and is responsible for overseeing resource development, network building, media relations and event management of the agency.

Certificates
1. "Certificate in Fundraising for NGOs” will be issued by the HKCSS Institute to participants who have fully completed 24 hours PLUS participated in project presentation (session 4.5). Attending hours of session 4.5 will not be counted.
2. Attendance Certificates will be issued to participants upon completion of each individual whole session.
