To enable managers of social service to acquire the concept and methodology of output costing with a view to achieving better understanding of the cost structure of services and strengthening their capability to:
1. Cost service outputs
2. Analyze cost information
3. Identify areas for improvement, and make business/operational decisions, such as
-Redesigning services or processes to improve efficiency
-Changing service mix or delivery mode
-Improving service cost and performance
Formulating service and pricing strategy.內容
1. Understanding basic accounting and cost management
2. Practising the preparation of financial statements for services
3. Introducing output costing, its application for social service, the methodology, key steps and tools
4. Sharing real life examples of applying output costing in agencies
5. Using real life example to practise analysis on output costing information
